Oftentimes, scam victims are left financially crippled as well as emotionally devastated. It is especially difficult on Migrant Domestic Workers as they are far from home, away from a support system that can help them through difficult emotions and the distressing experience.
Gosh worked with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to create an emotional video to assure MDW scam victims that they are not alone, and that help and resources are available for them to get through the distressing experience.
Told from the point of view of scam victims, the video relays the difficult emotions such as shame, guilt, anger and depression, lets fellow victims know that it is possible to get through this challenging period, and extends a much-needed helpline for MDWs who are struggling after falling prey to scammers.
